Our Past Offerings

Over the years, Mighty has hosted Resilient Teens Paint Nights for foster youth, in partnership with local foster parent organizations and created safe spaces for expression during events such as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. In 2020, Mighty supported the Lift Every Voice Mural Tour and contributed to the Black Lives Matter Day mural at Fresno City Hall. Most recently, through Measure P funding from the Fresno Arts Council, Mighty launched a series of intergenerational workshops, including ceramics, storytelling, and visual arts activities—further embedding creativity as a tool for resilience in its advocacy work.

Healing Art & Culture with Access:

"Healing Art and Culture With Access" is a free program designed to support young parents by exposing them to diverse art forms while fostering lasting community connections with artists in Fresno. This initiative by Mighty aims to create meaningful art workshops with local artists and organizations, offering education on various artistic modalities and their applications to youth and their families.

Our programming seeks to remove barriers that prevent youth from accessing art and culture by offering the following:

Childcare: We provide childcare services during events, allowing parents to fully engage in the workshops.

Safe Learning Environment: We create a welcoming space to learn about the therapeutic values of various art forms.

Group healing experiences are facilitated by an expressive arts therapist, helping participants explore their emotions and experiences through creative expression.

Workshop Offerings:

  • Visual Arts: Explore visual storytelling.

  • Literary Arts: Express your voice through writing and creative expression.

  • Culinary Arts: Learn to create culinary art on an EBT budget, blending creativity with practicality.

  • Pottery Arts: Discover how patterns and textures in pottery can serve as a form of personal expression.
