Mighty Community Building

Current Community Offerings

  • Mighty Families Cohort

Mighty Families is more than a parents’ group—it’s a year-round community where young families can grow, connect, and thrive together .

Created especially for community members under 26 who have received doula services with us, Mighty Families is a space that continues the care beyond birth. Our connection doesn’t end when doula services do—we’re here to help you build lasting relationships, find support, and share this journey with others who understand.

We believe healing starts in the community, and that together we create the strength and support every family needs to flourish.

We encourage our community members to bring their babies and a support person along to participate—because parenting is a journey best shared with loved ones.

Our gatherings include fun, family-friendly experiences like visiting the pumpkin patch, exploring the zoo, enjoying lake days, and taking trips to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Each event is designed to create joyful memories, build confidence, and strengthen connections among families.

By joining Mighty Families, you’re becoming part of a circle of care, friendship, and encouragement that supports you through every stage of parenting.

Come for the fun. Stay for the community. Mighty Families is here for you—in every season of your journey.

  • Birthing Connections

Birthing Connections is a monthly event for expecting & currently parenting community members to gather, share space, and have the opportunity to participate in an activity/craft.

This space is meant for parents to make new connections with other parents, without pressure.

    At Birthing Connections you might:

Create something meaningful, such as a birth or parenting vision board, DIY some parenting or self affirmations, meet a guest presenter, or simply relax, chat, and connect with others who understand the journey. • Making Waves | Route to Parks Summer Program

Our six-week summer program is designed to provide young parents under 26 and their children with a rich outdoor experience that combines education, community building, and advocacy. The program takes place once a week at Millerton Lake, just 27 minutes from City Hall, and includes approximately six hours of outdoor activities each day.

Participants begin each session with a 30-minute infant-toddler swim lesson, designed for parents and babies to engage together, building water confidence and safety skills.

Following swim lessons, families participate in an outdoor education component, such as wildlife observation or environmental science or specialized outdoor activity, such as kayaking or hiking, which lasts about 1.5 hours. Afterward, families enjoy a picnic lunch, allowing for relaxation and socializing in a natural setting.
