Mighty Doulas Are Community
A Mighty Doula is a full spectrum support system that centers whole person care & wellness. Our diverse care team fosters safe and inclusive approaches to meeting communities where they are as a life cycle companion offering consent-driven guidance through advocacy and empowerment. This allows space for human error and a little bit of madness. We walk with you towards joy, safety, and belonging-- no matter the season.
Mighty’s Full Spectrum Doula Services
Pregnant Youth & Young Adult Birth Doula Support
-
At Mighty, we offer continuous emotional and physical support for the pregnant parent through labor and the entire birthing process.
In doula sessions, we prepare the pregnant parent with information, education, and options for their birthing and postpartum experience.
We set up parents for success by informing them of their rights throughout the pregnancy and childbirth process. Our doulas help with postpartum care, such as lactation, as well as with community building around the parent(s).
-
Our Mighty Doulas support birthing parents in having a consent-centered, empowering birth experience.
Topics we will cover include physiological childbirth, advocacy, birth planning, and basic feeding skills.
Comfort sessions include gentle stretching, body balancing and prep for labor/childbirth, and pain management tools.
Mighty Doulas also teach birthing parents how to utilize a birth ball & peanut ball, and different positions to support the labor process.
Our doulas will attend the labor & childbirth to support the birthing person in whichever capacity they choose.

Pregnant Youth & Young Adult Abortion Doula Support
-
An abortion doula supports those who are considering an abortion in identifying their options, a plan, and aftercare support.
Mighty Community Advocacy values bodily autonomy and allowing everyone to make decisions over their own bodies.
There are many reasons an individual might choose to end a pregnancy. An abortion or release doula facilitates a consent-driven care plan, centering the person receiving care. This doesn’t have to be formal, but it should be grounding & affirming.
We cater to your comfort level & privacy, organize aftercare (this could mean rides, meals, medication pick-up, company, or even counseling). Remember that the “right choice,” is your choice.
At Mighty, we also believe that if you are choosing an abortion you deserve the same care as those who choose birth. We offer abortion doula services for the same community members we offer birth services.
Our Abortion Doulas are not religiously affiliated, and do not believe in changing our community member's minds.
We believe that we should provide education to our community members so that they can make informed decisions based off of their own situations and wants for their futures.

Bone Closing Ceremonies
A Bone Closing Ceremony is a traditional Mexican ritual that supports the birthing person’s postpartum healing and honors their transition to parenthood & changes they underwent through the pregnancy and birthing process. The ceremony supports the birthing person’s physical & emotional body, realigns their pelvis, and supports their healing body. Going through birth can be very emotionally and spiritually challenging, and the ceremony helps process and validate those emotions, find closure, and gain strength.
Elements of the ceremony include body work, herbs, rebozo wrapping, birth story processing & placenta honoring. Mighty Community Advocacy was taught this Ceremony from Tema Mercado, of San Diego.
Mighty Community Advocacy offers Bone Closing Ceremonies to community members that have completed doula services with Mighty Community Advocacy. Mighty understands that Bone Closing Ceremonies are a cultural practice and carries a deep reverence for this practice. Therefore, we offer Bone Closing Ceremonies to community members that we have a relationship with due to the intimacy & vulnerability of the ceremony.
